[Lecture] Insights and Reflections on Scientific Research and Project Applications: A Case Study of the South-to-North Water Diversion Research

Report Content: The report will cover the following six key areas, 1) the importance of scientific research for university researchers, 2) the significance of identifying and refining research directions, 3) strategies for university researchers to identify and refine research directions – taking the South-to-North Water Diversion research as an example, 4) aligning scientific research (especially in non-elite universities) with national policies and urgent needs, 5) keys to success in non-elite university research: distinctiveness, persistence, long-term commitment, and diligence, 6) the power of teamwork in academic research: collaboration and collective spirit.
Introduction to the Speaker: Fu Jingbao is a professor majoring in Tourism and Environmental Science at Henan University of Engineering. He currently serves as the Dean of the Institute of Ecological Environment Governance and Executive Director of the South-to-North Water Diversion and Yellow River Basin Ecological Environment Research Center at Henan University of Engineering. He is also an Executive Council Member of the Henan Provincial Society of Natural Resources. For years, Professor Fu has dedicated his research to the ecological protection and governance of the water source area along the Middle Route of the South-to-North Water Diversion Project. In recent years, he has led or participated in over thirty research projects and published more than fifty academic papers.
