The study on Digital Interpretation of Cultural Heritage delves into novel practical concepts and methodologies for unearthing and conveying the essence and context of cultural heritage through the fusion of digital art and digital technology. The presenter showcases exemplary cases across various application scenarios including digital art, digital cultural museums, digital cultural creation, digital tourism, and digital performance arts. With the aim of enriching the accessibility, vibrancy, and societal influence of cultural heritage, the presenter thoroughly examines the process of establishing an interactive interface between the audience and cultural heritage utilizing the design principle of “digital interpretation”, and strives to deliver an exceptional user experience for digital cultural products.
Introduction to the Reporter: Fei Jun, professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Design, Central Academy of Fine Arts. He is involved in research, education, and practice at the intersection of art and technology, assuming multiple roles as an artist, designer, and educator. His primary focus lies in crafting narratives that bridge the virtual and physical realms in his artistic endeavors. His artworks have been showcased in prestigious international exhibitions and art festivals such as the Venice Biennale, and he has been honored with accolades including the IF Design Award from Germany, the Special Prize of the German Design Award, and the Asia’s Most Influential Design Award, etc.
